Moravian? What is it? Is that in relation to some church?

I know, this name might be weird for many of you, even I think it’s a bit odd. But I like it! 😀

Imagine that you’re in a country where people are struggling to pronounce your name, surname and when they ask were you’re from (Gdańsk), they say “aaa Krakow!” – completely other side on the polish map, Gdańsk is in north, by the sea and Krakow is in South, where mountains are to explain it in simple way. 🙂

So to help everyone in United Kingdom and those from other countries I came up with a name that reffers to my difficult surname and actually indicates a meaning of it! Moravian is actually a beautiful geographical rural region in Czech and my surname reffers to it as my far ancestors were from there and that’s how my family name was created originally. Many of polish family names comes from regions they occupied in the past actually. Moravian is also very easy to pronounce by my english speaking friends and clients (usually also friends) so we are all happy and without language barrier anymore. Also I hated the idea of being another photographer with name + last name + photography phrase as a business name – it would be so boring and non creative! 😀

If you have been wondering about my logo that is also a bit weird as for photography business (no lenses or shutters? OMG!), I can tell you that it also refers to me and Moravian itself. Actually in that region you can find many hills and in logo they are there while creating an M letter, what is funny some people sees there two fists joined or glasses and it actually fits me too as I’m friendly and I’m wearing glasses on daily basis.

And what about splashes of colours? I always say that my photography is bright and colorful and never restricted by rules, if you would throw a handfull of paint on the wall you wouldn’t be able to predict the shape and size of the splash it creates, every another one would be different and always not restricted in shape or form it would take. That’s basically me, original, creative full of positive energy but still unshaped in my creativity. Also yellow colour splash covers the black one, for me it’s a symbol of me fighting my dark side with positive attitude and finding my ligt in the tunnel. As I wrote in “About Me” page, photography hepled me to fight my depression and showed me the way to better future work without bullying or controlling me sad men driven only by money.

Yes, you can find a moravian church that also comes from that region but I’m totally not relating to that and actually I found out this fact a bit later. But I’m still happy to keep it!
